School Curriculum
In Year 1 learning is a fun adventure exploring new topics, diving into good books, expanding our mathematical knowledge and discovering more about the world around us!
In Year 2, we learn new things every day and try our very best in all that we do. We have a positive attitude towards our learning and enjoy celebrating our successes as a class.
In Year 3, we begin our juniors journey...we go back in time to explore the Stone Age, through our History, Science and English topics, finding out all about human life, earth and nature. It's a fascinating glimpse into a life we might never have known before.
Throughout Year 4, we cover a range of exciting topics in History, Geography and Science. In Science we learn about states of matter, sound and electricity and we plan experiments to discover more! In History, we are lucky enough to enter the tomb of Tutankhamun and discover the secrets behind what was found there almost 100 years ago.
In Year 5, we are enthusiastic learners and are encouraged to try our best in everything we do. We are expected to work hard, but we have a lot of fun along the way!
Over the course of Year 6, we will experience a wide range of engaging and investigative topics across the curriculum including a historical study of WW2. As well as exploring new areas of learning, we will also continue to develop and expand upon our knowledge from previous years, by engaging in more advanced areas of study within Maths, English and Science.
