The School Day

For Reception-Year 6 pupils, there is a soft start from 8.45-8.55am allowing children to head straight to class without having to wait to line up. It gives their teachers time to check in with each child individually and see how they are feeling at the start of the day.

8.55am is the official start to the day when the register is taken. Both the Nursery/Reception gate and the KS1/KS2 gate are closed promptly at this time. After this your child will need to enter through the middle gate for the office to register them. They are recorded as late.

Children who have not been collected on time sit with a member of staff while they wait for us to contact you and you to arrive. 

Nursery pupils

Nursery children are dropped off and picked up at the Nursery/Reception gate.

Morning/all day start time:  9.15am

End of morning/start of afternoon:  12.15pm

End of afternoon/all day finish time:  3.15pm

Reception pupils

Reception children are dropped off at the Nursery/ Reception gate but are collected from outside the Reception classroom.

Morning gate open: 8.45-8.55am

End of the school day: 3.25pm

Total weekly hours: 32 hours 30 minutes

Year 1-6 pupils

Year 1-6 children are dropped off at the KS1/KS2 gate but are collected from the KS1 playground apart from Year 1 who are collected from their playground. 

Morning gate open: 8.45-8.55am

End of the school day: 3.30pm

Year 5&6 pupils are allowed to walk home on their own if the appropriate form has been completed giving them permission.
